"Exciting & extremely entertaining! Their performance enhances the audience’s appreciation for our event and it is my feeling that the Folk Ball would be very smart to invite them back on a continuing basis!"

"Madame Gigi's Cancan goes above & beyond from the very beginning. The performers don't stop at stage edge and audiences are always thrilled for the opportunity to mingle and connect with the dancers as they rove the grounds between shows! Total commitment to excellence."

Below are proposed reasons for a Site update.

Original Site Performance

Optimized Site Performance

You can see below that the updated architecture runs through its entire loading checklist before the existing site even initializes its 'time to first byte'.

     OPTIMIZED SITE              ORIGINAL SITE
162ms TTFB                     |

418ms Content Paint       |
0.6ms DOM Loaded         |

In Just 3.9 Seconds of Page Load Time 23.8% of An Audience Hits The Back button

This happens because of people’s growing impatience with slow loading page speeds. If a page takes too long to load they will tap the back button.

Of the 76.2% audience that remains only 2% will ever truly make a purchase of any kind. I think we’d prefer to generate performance bookings from 2% of 100% rather than 2% of 76.2%

Attract greater attention from google & audiences WIth Leaner & Faster Loading Web Pages

Google definitely rewards leaner & faster pages that take into consideration mobile-user’s limited data plans. These pages go to the top of search results.

Our new architecture will make Google happy by providing a faster and leaner experience to end users. The difference from 5.20MB to 1.11MB in page weight is considerable – as is the number of page resources requested which drops from 147 to just 29!

Consider that in the same 3.9 seconds that it takes to load just the initial page of the old site design, users of the new design are either already finding more of the information they want, watching the troupe video, or most importantly – booking a performance.

THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE CHECKLIST:

  • Connect with Jeanette to improve our hosting situation. Currently I believe the site is hosted by a friend of TDDA which means there are a lot of management resources we don’t have access to.

  • Create a proper URL Redirect so that ‘Cancangirls.org’ points to the troupe website whereas currently ‘Cancangirls.org’ points to an <iframe> intermediary which indirectly displays the content of ‘http://cancangi.wwwss44.a2hosted.com’ which is where our web content is actually located.
    • I believe this was due to a malicious DoS Attack or Malicious code embed that existed on the site before I came around to working on it.
  • Install The New Proposed Site. Reap the benefits
